Judy Minkoff is the Founder, Artistic Director, and Manager of Stiletta. She has performed with, directed and arranged for all-female groups for more than 20 years, including NYC's "Melodia Women's Choir", DC's "Kismet", Atlanta's "Octave" and William & Mary's "The Accidentals". Judy has also directed and arranged for the Single Singers at the SingStrong a cappella festivals in DC, Chicago, and New York. Judy's original song, "Christmas Valentine", co-written with Jonathan Minkoff of Blue Jupiter, shared nominations for "Best Holiday Album" (Contemporary A cappella Recording Award) and "Album of the Year" (WAMMY Washington Area Music Award) in 2011, and won the WAMMY in 2012 for "Best A cappella Album" (Cartoon Johnny's "The More The Merrier"). She was also awarded Best Arrangement for her arrangement of “Royals” by Lorde at the 2016 National Harmony Sweepstakes and the 2015 Mid-Atlantic Harmony Sweepstakes. Judy’s flirtation with girl band choreography owes much to her experience dancing and choreographing for Atlanta's "Infinite Movement" hip hop dance company, the College of William & Mary's "Tribal Dancers" dance team, and Magruder High School's "Liberty Belles" championship dance team. Judy has a PhD in Immunology and Molecular Pathogenesis from Emory University and works in NYC as a freelance science writer.
